Covid-19 Photography Procedures
Our photographers will undertake property visits in line with all of Public Health England’s recommendations. Property visits will only be carried out if the household is not isolating or quarantining and if the photographer is well and has no symptoms of Covid-19.
In summary, our photographers will:
- Keep a 2 metre distance from any agent/household occupant.
- Request that the property is suitably prepared for the visit.
- Be especially vigilant to those persons currently identified as most at risk and/or with underlying health issues.
- Use disposable gloves, shoe covers and face masks at every appointment.
- Regularly use hand sanitiser and antibacterial wipes.
- Wipe down equipment after each appointment.
Photographers WILL NOT move anything whilst at the property including bins, so please make sure these are moved out of sight.
How to prepare your property for photography
You can help us to get the best images to market your property. Some people choose to go the whole hog and buy flowers or have a fresh loaf of bread ready for slicing on the kitchen counter. We’re not suggesting you have to go that far, but here are a few hints and tips to get your home ready for your photographer.
Where You Live
A general tidy up goes a long way. Clear the mantelpiece to get the best shot of a fireplace and give the cushions a quick plump.
Where You Cook
Try to pop tea towels/cleaning products out of view and make sure the washing up is nicely tidied away back in the cupboards. Wherever possible hide cereal boxes or soft drink bottles in cupboards. The wine can stay in view though – it’s all part of the lifestyle after all!
Where You Sleep
Spruce up the beds a little; a good shake and smooth down of the duvet will go a long way to making a bedroom look inviting. Put away laundry, try and keep the top of wardrobes free of boxes/suitcases and tuck those extra bits and bobs right under the beds.
Where You Cleanse
Bathrooms can be tricky as we all love our toiletries, so the easiest thing is to make sure any excess products are decluttered and temporarily tucked out of view.
Where You Soak Up The Sun
If you are lucky enough to have any outdoor space then let’s show it off. Weather permitting, uncover any garden furniture you have, unfold your parasol and get the cushions out of hibernation. We’re aware this may be more tricky in winter months, but you should still try and make your garden look as welcoming as possible for when photography is planned.
