Puttenham is a sought after village on the southern slopes of the Downs between Guildford and Godalming. The surrounding countryside is a mix of farms, open fields, paths and lanes, ideal for walking, riding and cycling. The slopes to the north of the village are still used as hop fields which were once extensive throughout this part of south west Surrey. The village boasts 2 inns, with The Good Intent being located in the centre of the village, together with Puttenham Infant School and Puttenham Golf Club. Access to the surrounding towns and facilities is easy via the A31 and the A3 which link to the M25 and London ’s airports. The mainline stations of Guildford and Godalming are roughly equidistant and offer direct services into Waterloo (38 minutes and 47 minutes respectively).

Guildford, with its beautiful cobbled High Street, is approx 4 miles away and boasts a multitude of shops, theatres, cinemas and restaurants. The historic market town of Godalming is a similar distance and features many individual shops as well as restaurants and wine bars. There is an excellent selection of schools in the area that cater for most ages and denominations both in the private and public sectors. There are also golf courses at nearby Hurtmore and Milford, while the South Coast beaches are approx 33 miles away.
