Our estate agency office in Godalming opened as the first Burns & Webber office in 1986 and specialises in residential properties for sale in Godalming and the surrounding villages, with properties for sale throughout GU3, GU7 and GU8. It is managed by Charlie Simpson.
Charlie comments; Having lived and worked locally all my life, my career in estate agency begun when I started working for a small independent firm based in Farnham. Throughout my career I have worked in a number of different towns within Surrey, but have truly found my home in beautiful Godalming. I have now worked at Burns & Webber for several years and believe we are very well placed to sell homes, in all different price ranges, due to our highly experienced team who have extensive knowledge of the local property market and who are dedicated to providing an exceptional standard of service. During my spare time I very much enjoy cooking quality food, listening to music, playing football and spending time with my family and friends.
You can find links to all the properties we have for sale in these locations at the bottom of this page.
We have been extremely impressed by Burns & Webber - in particular Charlie Simpson. From initial viewings through to negotiations, chasing the chain and managing the entire process, Charlie has been thorough, organised, timely and professional. We initially sold our property through an online agency - who to be quite frank - were useless.
Charlie's workload doubled in this instance and we recognise and deeply appreciated that his job was made harder for this because he basically became our estate agent as well as Croft Road's.
After receiving your service we fully appreciate how much work goes into managing the chain and would not make that mistake again.
I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending your fantastic office - and in particular Charlie Simpson - to anyone and if we were to move again we would definitely look to use you. Thank you again!
We were extremely impressed with your professionality, communication and courtesy throughout the process. It made everything so much easier and less stressful! Your prompt and detailed replies to our emails really made everything smoother and we felt looked after really well all the way through. Thank you!
Very pleased with the service provided by the firm - in particular Charlie who was very efficient and a pleasure to deal with.
Having used Burns & Webber twice now we would highly recommend them to both buyers and sellers - many thanks.
Thank you to everyone at Burns & Webber Godalming. I really appreciated all your help in guiding me through a rather long and drawn out process and for keeping positive when things didn't go quite to plan.
The knowledge and expertise of all the staff gave me confidence that we would have a good outcome with the sale of our house. I also used your recommendations for a lawyer, surveyor and moving company, all of whom were excellent.
I would advise anyone looking for a good local estate agents to use Burns & Webber. Many thanks.
From our first meeting with Adam Boshoff, we knew that we were in the hands of professionals.
Robbie took over the day to day sale of our home. He was outstanding at communication, always responding quickly to emails and calls. Always cheerful and positive with a high level of empathy. We felt that he gave boundless energy and time to our sale.
There were some stress points towards the end of the sale but these were handled by Burns & Webber with calm and with a determination to close the sale. I would definitely recommend this excellent team to anyone wanting to put their house on the market, and already have done.
Hi Robbie, thanks for your help in the purchase of our cottage. Throughout the process, you've been friendly, helpful and kept me informed of all developments.
You are most definitely a credit to Burns & Webber. Thanks
I have been very satisfied with every aspect of Burns & Webber's sale of my property in Witley. Each member of staff whom I've met has been very polite and helpful and has made the sale a smooth procedure.
I can certainly recommend Burns & Webber for their efficiency and friendly attitude.
Thank you so much for all your help in finding us the perfect home. The experience with Burns & Webber was terrific from first viewing, right through to collecting the keys.
Charlie was brilliant, friendly and professional and I really felt he helped make the process so much smoother.
Charlie (and all the team) came across as people with a great deal of integrity.
I am highly recommending B&W to my friends who are considering moving to the area. Thank you so much again.
We were so pleased we chose Burns & Webber Godalming to sell our house.
The whole process was fairly straightforward in that we found a buyer straightaway after an open day. They offered our asking price and less than 4 months later we had moved into our new home.
Charlie was our main contact, he was always at the end of the phone if anything ever came up - always helpful and kept us in the loop throughout.
I would highly recommend B&W to sell your property.
The service provided by the team at Burns & Webber was fantastic. We had a problematic move but the team remained supportive and helpful throughout.
I would recommend Burns & Webber for both buyers and sellers especially compared to other agents we have encountered throughout the process.
I would like to thank the whole team for their continued support.
Never have I received such amazing service from anyone or any company before. Without Adam and the team, I'm confident that our sell and purchase would not have been successful. Will recommend to everyone!

Equity release is a method of releasing funds from your main residence to use in any way you choose.
Given the substantial increase in property values over the last 2 to 3 decades, we see a vast number of clients who have significant equity in their homes, but suffer from a reduced income due to increased life expectancy and smaller annual pensions. This sector is one of the fastest growing areas within the financial services arena.
Another key spin off that we are seeing a lot more of, is clients releasing equity to help their children or grandchildren with a deposit for their first home. This also has the potential of reducing and even eliminating an inheritance tax... read more

We are now fast approaching the second phase of the Government’s crackdown on private Buy-to-Let landlords, with the restriction on the lucrative tax relief claimed on rental properties. The first, being the rise in Stamp Duty for 2nd home and investment purchases which came into effect following last spring’s budget. This had the desired effect of slowing down the stampede and probably stopping many cautious or first time investment purchasers, but many seasoned and canny buyers realised that the long term forecast for the housing market, especially in the south east, is likely to continue its upward trend and whilst the additional costs are a burden, the capital growth is the prize.... read more
It’s no secret that buying or selling a home is the biggest investment we typically make in our lifetime. So, when the time comes to sell we naturally want to make sure we get the best possible price. However, by listing your property at an inflated price, you could actually end up losing money, as well as a considerable amount of precious time in the process.
Take the recent example by consumer watchdog Which? highlighting a seller who placed their property on the market after obtaining valuations, ranging from £480,000 to... read more
