About Us

Welcome to our estate agency office in Cranleigh. We specialise in residenital properties for sale in Cranleigh and the surrounding villages with properties for sale throughout GU6 and beyond.

 

Introducing our Cranleigh Branch Manager and local resident, Clive Bradley.

Having worked in estate agency since the early 1980’s, Clive is well versed in all there is to know about the property market. Not only that, but he’s also a proud local lad, living locally with his family and also having worked at a successful competitor branch for a number of years.

Clive’s wife works locally at Glebelands School, whilst their daughter has recently left the school and now attends a local college and his son works within the local community.

Clive loves the area and prides himself on his local knowledge, industry expertise and outstanding customer service. Having successfully run Curchods East Horsley office, Burns & Webber's sister company for a number of years, he has now moved to Burns & Webber Cranleigh where he not only returns to his home town, but looks forward to building upon the current success of the Cranleigh branch. Right To Rent

The Right to Rent legislation rolls out in February 2016, so all landlords and letting agents in England must check the immigration status of their tenants. The new law means that private landlords, including those who sub-let or take in lodgers, must check the right of prospective tenants to be in the country to avoid being hit with a penalty.

Right to Rent was introduced in the Immigration Act 2014 as part of the government’s reforms to build a fairer and more effective immigration system. The current maximum penalty for each tenant found without a right to rent is £3000, but the Immigration Bill 2015 is due to introduce the penalty of up to five years imprisonment.

Buy-To-Let is about to get more Taxing

According to a recent report1, there are nearly 2 million private landlords in the UK, owning 4.9 million homes and against which, over 1.6 million mortgages are outstanding. For 10% of those landlords, over half of their income is derived from rent; for 8%, being a landlord is their full time job.
