I have lived in this area all my life, so working for Burns & Webber in Cranleigh is like a dream come true. I am proud to have worked within the Burns & Webber group for over 10 years, with my formative years spent working in the network's large offices further up the A3 corridor. Those years gave me not only great experience in the business, but also opened my eyes to the steady flow of buyers moving in and around those towns and villages and also out of London. I now put this experience to good use, by 'opening the eyes' of these same buyers to the benefits of Cranleigh and the surrounding villages.

My team and I are well placed to expound on the benefits of living in the area as we all live locally, we have children at local schools and we all enjoy the many social and recreational opportunities that we are so lucky to have on our doorstep. Property Market Commentary: Autumn 2014

So far, 2014 has been a dynamic year with the ripple effect of substantial activity levels in the London market reaching out to Surrey and the Home Counties.

As we move into the closing stages of the year, we are seeing the upward pressure on prices easing somewhat as the market settles to a more normal heartbeat.  Not a bad thing in our view.

This traditional country show is a great day out for all the family, in the heart of the Surrey Hills at Cranleigh Showground, held this year on Saturday 2nd August. The show is a charitable event run by volunteers and showcases some of the best British farmers and local producers. There are numerous livestock classes, ridden and driven horse classes and the amazing Heavy Horse Parade which is sponsored by Burns & Webber.

April 26th: All Mortgages Must Be Advised By Qualified Individuals

From April 26th 2014, the Mortgage Market Review (MMR) will take effect. One of the main impacts of this legislation is that all mortgages arranged must go through a fully advised process undertaken by qualified individuals.

Surprisingly, a high number of building society and bank staff do not meet the new rules and will no longer be permitted to offer such advice. This will result in lengthy delays for customers even to get an appointment to see a qualified adviser with regards to their mortgage.
