Voting opens for the Surrey Property Awards

The 2015 Surrey Property Awards are designed to recognise best practice in all aspects of the property industry.  These awards are unlike other property awards, as the winners are not chosen by a panel, but by members of the public.

Our sister company Curchods have won for the last two years in succession.  If you think we deserve it, we'd love you to vote for us.

All votes and comments must be received before 31st October 2015 to qualify.  Winners will be announced at the prestigious Awards Ceremony on 18th November 2015 and the results are based not only on the volume of votes received but also the quality of the comments made.

Election 2015: Good News For The Surrey Property Market

This is not a political commentary. It​ is simply​ our view of what we consider will happen in the Surrey property market now that the election is over.

We anticipate a swell in general activity as the brakes come off for many who have held back from moving ​this spring ​until the election was over, irrespective of who might have won. Some have held back, fearful of tax changes (especially at the upper levels of the market​) and legislation surrounding property ownership and rental. Good News For Flood Risk Homes

In June, it will be 2 years since the expiry of the last scheme between the insurance industry and the government to provide cover for those properties in high-risk flood areas.  Sadly, during this period many homes in the local area suffered in the floods of 2014.  

However, there is good news, the Association of British Insurers (ABI) and the Government have been diligently working through the details of the replacement scheme. The new Flood Re scheme is due to be launched this summer.
